HOME!!!

This is almost ours. I can feel it.
We have been waiting for this for a year and a half.
Its a great story actually....but not one I am ready to go into.
It involves a decision, a prayer, a miracle..and a young man.
My heart is always happy and warm when I think about it.

One Acre.
NO Neighbors.
Completely Surrounded by trees!
PEACE...QUIET...You can hear Nature!
Simple Pleasure!

And this is the view from our dining room table.

I don't think it could get more perfect.

But it does...

This is why our children have fallen in love
with the home.
There are Two tree swings...
There will be Two tree houses....
One for the boys.
One for the girls.
With a zip line connecting them.
With the old fashioned tin can "telephones"
or walkie talkies...whatever.
This is it! Today is the day!
I can feel it...
and it feels like HOME!

Our Bed!!!

I found my favorite blog ever!! Knock Off Wood! Ana does such a great
job of creating plans of expensive furniture...and helping us
recreate them for a fraction of the cost!
I can't wait to build more projects.

Here are the beginning stages of the process.
Jeff and Jake even got involved.

I LOVE this Man!!!

The headboard is put together!

And....HERE is the Masterpiece! I love how the bed turned out!! Thank you David!

What I have been up to

I really love collage! and I didn't realize how much ...until I was taking these pictures!
I use Mod Podge almost daily! I love the stuff!!!

This is my vision board for 2010.

This is the first collage I have ever done. And there is quite the story
that goes with it. Maybe someday I will share it.
But...then again...Maybe not.

I made this last night. I wish I would have made a dozen...
Cute gifts!

This is my first crochet project. Didn't turn out too bad!
Megan can make anything look cute though!

I also made this last night...I am such a last minute person.
I wanted this done for Mayli's birthday so....Luckily I have a great
friend who does vinyl...and she brought over the pieces
at 10:30 last night! Love ya M.C.!!!

BRAVE GIRLS!!!!

I have had a lot of people asking what "Brave Girls Club" is all about. It is an AMAZING "life changing retreat for women". I was able to go as a staff member...and LOVED it!!!

Melody and her sister Kathy put together a wonderful retreat up in Crouch Idaho. The retreat went from Tuesday night, until Saturday morning. They put sooo much thought and effort into all of this and created a safe comfortable environment where everyone felt at home!

We were able to spend every day crafting, collaging, creating jewelery, and leaning new skills, techniques and more importantly....connecting with each other and creating lasting friendships. I LOVED IT!!!

Here is Jeanie writing an impromtu song about BG! There were SOOO many talented people there! Such beautiful voices!!!
Chelsea!!!!!! Love her!!!
She made the BEST food ever!
Everything was from scratch...served with love and a SMILE!!
Here is an example of the small, thoughtful details....
Everyone sent in pictures: of family, things that were important to them, etc.
Then...they were placed throughout the entire cabin...to create a home like feeling!
This is where we PLAYED!!!!

This is one of the projects I worked on. I will take pictures of the final products...
they are so meaningful and I can't wait to start mod podging Again!!!

100 Years of Scouting!!

Jeff was asked to give the yearly Scouting report to Governor Otter.
He did such a great job! Poised and confident! Soooo Proud of him. Glad I could be there with Josh, and David as well. Jake would have been there...but he was home sick!

Jeff and Josh outside the Governors Office at the State Capital.
